My Goal as a Christian Counselor
As your counselor, my aim is to partner with the Lord to bring healing by joining you in your world and empowering you with tools and support to get through life’s challenges. We will first take time to determine what would be most beneficial to you based on your needs and goals, then take practical steps to move toward the healing and growth you desire.
What I Offer in Christian Counseling
I offer a compassionate, welcoming space where you can share the burdens that are on your mind and heart. I will meet you where you are and work with you to establish your goals for treatment and take the necessary steps to achieve those goals, with God’s help.
My Approach to Christian Counseling
In my practice, I rely on the Holy Spirit to give me wisdom from the Lord. My desire is to emulate Christ’s example as Wonderful Counselor (Isaiah 9:6). I believe my counseling career completely belongs to Him, and my prayer is that I would bring Him glory and honor in what I do.
Qualifications & Experience
I have a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor and a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from The King’s University. I am also trained in Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
My Call to Christian Counseling
After a tragic loss, I sought counseling and it brought me a lot of healing. Fast forward and a few years later I began my journey to become a counselor through the Lord’s provision.

Anxiety
Anxiety can be exhausting and frustrating. In our time together, we’ll explore how anxiety presents for you in order to inform how we address it. Along the way, we can learn calming strategies that work for you as well as challenge some unhelpful thoughts that contribute to feeling anxious.
Depression
I believe it is important to meet you where you are to learn how depression is negatively affecting you. We’ll talk about some self-care activities and how to incorporate these into your routine. We’ll also challenge unhelpful negative thinking together and create new ways of viewing life. I will help you celebrate the victories, big and small, along the way until your depression is in remission.
Trauma and EMDR
Trauma does not have to take away from you anymore. The awesome thing about the brain is that it already knows how to heal from trauma. With EMDR, we can assist your brain to do what it is already created to do and heal. We can replace negative core beliefs about yourself with more positive and adaptive thoughts.
Personal Development
Personal development is exciting! You are ready to put in the work to achieve goals. Let’s come up with a game plan and work toward goals to achieve the improvements you want to see.
Counseling for Teens
When working with teens, first and foremost I like to take time to foster a safe therapeutic relationship. I will then assist them with what they may be dealing with based on their stage of development. I enjoy working with teens as they discover who they are and partnering with them along the way.
